Jennifer Hastings, MS, MPH Director of Communications Project Director Jennifer Hastings, MS, MPH is the Director of Communications and a Project Director at the North Carolina Institute of Medicine (NC IOM). In addition to managing media relations for the organization, she also coordinates the NC IOM Task Force on Prevention. Prior to joining the NC IOM, Hastings was the Prevention and Communications Manager at NC Prevention Partners in Chapel Hill where she directed communications and managed various programs including those focused on tobacco cessation and worksite wellness. Hastings earned a masters of science in nutrition and a masters in public health from Tufts University in 2004 and a bachelors in biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1994.
