Christine Nielsen, MPH Managing Editor, North Carolina Medical Journal Research Associate Christine Nielsen, MPH, is the Managing Editor for the North Carolina Medical Journal and a Research Associate at the North Carolina Institute of Medicine. As Managing Editor, she oversees the production and editorial content of each issue of the Journal. Additionally, she contributes editorial and research assistance to NC IOM task forces and related reports. Prior to joining the NC IOM, she worked at the University of California at San Francisco, where she conducted research on health services and health policy. She has also worked as an editor in a small book publishing house. Nielsen earned a master in public health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2008 and a BA in mass communications from the University of California at Berkeley in 2000.
