Catherine Liao, MSPH, is a Project Director at the North Carolina Institute of Medicine (NCIOM), where she assists with the coordination of the Healthy North Carolina 2020 project and outreach on
federal health reform. Prior to joining the NCIOM, Catherine was legislative assistant to U.S. Rep. David Price (NC-04) where she was responsible for health, education, and housing appropriations and related authorizing issues.
Catherine earned a Master of Science in Public Health from the Health Policy and Management Department in the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health in 2010. While at UNC-Chapel Hill, she was a research assistant
at the NCIOM and the UNC Office of Federal Affairs. Catherine earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2002.
