Jennifer Hastings, MS, MPH

Project Director

Jennifer Hastings, MS, MPH is a Project Director at the North Carolina Institute of Medicine (NCIOM). She currently coordinates the Healthy North Carolina 2020 project to develop the state’s 2020 health objectives. She also was the project director for the NCIOM Prevention Task Force. Prior to joining the NCIOM, she worked at NC Prevention Partners in Chapel Hill where she directed communications and managed various programs including those focused on tobacco cessation and worksite wellness. She is also a member of the Governor’s Task Force for Healthy Carolinians.

Hastings earned a masters of science in nutrition and a masters in public health from Tufts University in 2004 and a bachelors in biology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 1994.
